-
- Consists of two sub-phases: (1)
A short sub-phase (2-5 hours per system) providing requirements, cost
estimates, benefits, and return on investment (ROI) for each Identity and
Access Management component, and (2) A longer sub-phase (1-4 days per system)
providing the functional specification, project cost estimate, and delivery
timeline for each system.
-
- This phase addresses the
areas needed to start development and implementation of the Identity and Access
Management solution. By the end of this phase, the programmers are ready to
work. This phase includes the setup of the environment, which is critical since
integration is a key part of Identity and Access Management, as well as
simulation of the production environment and general connectivity to target
systems including specification of port, SSL, DMZ, and any other relevant
secure-connectivity parameters.
-
sub-phases are executed
sequentially for each phase of the Identity and Access Management project, not
for the entire project. By this approach, functionality is gradually introduced
to the user community. The benefits of this approach include:
-
Demonstrated business value within 2-3 months from project launch
-
Further demonstrated value each and every quarter
-
Minimizing the differences between the production and test environments
-
Improved users' experience and acceptance

- This phase consists of part- to
full-time post-production support and feedback regarding the maintenance and
operation of the Corporate Identity Management system. This phase can include
offshore support, a per-customer knowledge base, access to the IDFocus
cumulative knowledge base, and code management tools such
as Microsoft SourceSafe.
